Dr. Hood has made important contributions to the understanding of psychosocial aspects of diabetes management, particularly with diabetes technology, and how these factors contribute to disease outcomes. He is co-leader of the Bioengineering and Behavioral Sciences Research Affinity Group in the SDRC.

Dr. Kraemer investigates insulin and glucose metabolism, as well as cellular lipid metabolism. Additionally, Dr. Kraemer leads the SDRC Pilot & Feasibility (P&F) Program.
