Research Description: Dr. Prahalad’s research interests are in the role of technology to improve clinical outcomes in youth with type 1 diabetes. Dr. Prahalad is a co-investigator in a study evaluating the clinical outcomes and patient reported outcomes of youth started on CGM in the first month of diabetes diagnosis. She received an SDRC Pilot & Feasibility Grant to study the role of remote monitoring in patients started on CGM in the new onset period. She is also a co-investigator on the Stanford TrialNet grant.
